Plant: A Workshop for the Climate Curious

THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN POSTPONED / JOIN OUR MAILING LIST TO LEARN ABOUT FUTURE DATES

Welcome to Plant, a daylong workshop for people who are holding questions about their place in the climate movement and want to explore answers together in community. Throughout the day, “planting” will be our guide as we ground ourselves in place to strengthen our connection to our local ecologies and communities, identify our unique “seeds” or skills we offer, and recognize the power of small actions as part of our collective work. The workshop will take place at Down Yonder Farm in Hillsborough, and will include a gentle, guided hike on forest trails, group activities, discussion and exploration, journaling, and a presentation and conversation with Peter Kalmus, climate scientist and author of the book Being the Change: Live Well and Spark a Climate Revolution. Participants will come away feeling oriented, inspired, and ready to act toward the future they imagine.

This workshop is open to all. It is designed to be a welcoming entry-point to those who have no previous climate work experience or knowledge, as well as those looking to clarify, deepen or invigorate their engagement.
